Thanks for the comment. You’re actually touching on a very important question, and I appreciate that. So, if you are referring to the Norka I built, it’s a bit more complex than that.
First of all, it’s not an 1980s frame. It has disc brakes, Boost axles, clearance for up to 2.4” tyres, and, most importantly, a modern Reynolds 853 tubeset and contemporary framebuilding techniques. It’s an evolution of that 1980s MTB, not simply a reproduction of one.
I recognise that it’s not the most typical kind of bike I usually build, but hipster or not, I believe everyone has the right to dream of the bike they want. I’m happy I was able to build the bike my customer had been dreaming of, and I’m sure he’ll be riding it with a big smile on his face. To me, that matters more than anything else.

I mean, who cares? of course it looks like the sx-trail, everybody knows it.
But the thing is that the whole bike, cost less then the SX-trail frame, just the frame.
And thats the difference. You got that?
