@maddiver: If they have an e-mtb then no towing and they bask in the sun that they are doing it themselves which builds their confidence. Its only the parent who is crusty and old thinking it aint them. Instead of putting that on your kid just give them the right tool for the job.

@Muckal: ah spinning is how you win. if you tax your muscles they dont recover, your cardio does, think of lance armstrong, his motor was made better by using illegal drugs, the illegal drugs is the motor in an ebike, to say you don't build strength is stupid, you just do as much as a regular bike, and truth is 90 % of riders are not building cardio on a regular bike, they are only building strength as they can pus those gears hard enough to get the cardio cause there is so much strength. Watch a pro ride up hill 90 rpm then watch 80-90% of riders 50-60 rpm they cant turn the gears quick enough, and they think they are working out cardio, they are doing a strength workout like lifting too much at the gym, they think this is suffering but it is just bad riding.
