[UPDATED] Final Elite XC Results & Overall Standings from the Mairiporã XC World Cup 2024
Excellent race, coverage was good, only thing I would complain about was the focus was too much on the leaders, so some battles behind were missed. Jenny winning is awesome, she just doesn't give a fuck. Congratulations to the US girls, super strong showing. Good to see Jolanda on the podium again too.

How to Watch the 2024 Mountain Bike World Cup [Update: Staylive Offering Access in New Zealand, South Africa & More]
@donimo: Hi, this is for Austria and that is standalone, so not tied to anything else. I just use the discovery+ app. This is with adverts, but I haven't seen any yet watching the spring classics road races. Let's see how this evolves...

How to Watch the 2024 Mountain Bike World Cup [Update: Staylive Offering Access in New Zealand, South Africa & More]
Discovery+ yearly fee: 39.99€ for all road and MTB content. Or, in other words less than two sets brakepads or two energy bars per month. As the owner of 4 MTBs (Enduro, XC, DJ, HT), that's a cost I can stomach.

Results & Race Report: Air DH & Whip Off - Crankworx Rotorua 2024
In an article the starts with "Results & Race Report", did I overlook the link to full results or were there only 3 participants in Air DH? Or is it too much to expect nowadays?

Bike Check: Sam Blenkinsop's Zerode G3 - Red Bull Hardline Tasmania
Don't worry! They didn't take a photo of the most important change for Pinion for a lot of people, namely the move from a twist shifter to a trigger. How hard could it have been to take one single proper photo of the cockpit, showing the full bar width?

Mass Redundancies Reported at Wiggle Chain Reaction
That's not bicycle market related. The mother company bet on real estate and low interest rates, went bust and took the Signa Sports Holding (parent to CRC and Wiggle) with it. Would have happened independent of the bicycle market. What probably would be different is that in today's market it will be difficult to get prospective buyers, rather than liquidating the assets.

Pinkbike Poll: What Are Your Must-Have Features On a New Mountain Bike?
When I was racing as a junior, my parents thankfully scraped together the money for a top of the line Specialized S-Works M4 HT. Cost for this in 1998 was (converting my countries then currency to €) 2790 Euros. Calculating using historical inflation data, this is 4973 Euros in 2023. Now there are two interesting views on that: A top of the line S-Works Epic HT in 2023 costs 11900 Euros on Specialized's website. This is more than twice the money for the top of the line HT in the range which is quite frankly outrageous. However, at the same time, the Epic Expert HT is sitting at 5700€, so roughly in line with the inflation adjusted cost from year 1998 of 4973€. And every single parts is miles better (Carbon wheels, disc brakes, etc.) So on the one hand, the top-of-the line prices have gotten out of hand, but comparing similar priced options, you get better performance for the same money 25 years later.
