Hidden Switzerland: Ticino
I live in Basel, Menderiso is a great place to ride.... and the pump track next to a school is very very fun... can't imagine I'd be getting much work done if I taught there! :)

Giant Glory DH bike (L) & kit

$1800 EUR
This is race-ready and race tuned Down Hill bike. Although Race tuned by TF Tuned (A UK based suspension tuning company) I am selling everything I have making this a great opportunity for someone to break into the race scene OR to simply get into the sport of DH riding with a high spec bike. The bike is in great condition. There are the expected stone chips that a used mountain bike would have, however the frame is in good condition.. no dents or cracks etc! Along with the bike I am also including a Troy Lee Designs full face helmet, Troy Lee Designs gloves (brand new), 2 Royal Racing jerseys (m), Kona DH shorts (m), Oakley goggles, approximately 5 spare tires (including Schwalbe Dirty Dans for wet weather) and two spare wheels in case one gets damaged (I kept the wet weather tires on the spare wheels for quick changes based on conditions) and 661 pressure suit body armour. Bike Spec: Giant Glory 2011 Frame Size: Large 2 Sets of Superstar DH wheels 2013 Cane Creek DB shock (with choice of 3 springs) Custom 2012 RockShox Boxxer WC Solo Air Forks (I had r2c2 dampening adjusters fitted) Shimano Zee Drive Train Shimano Saint Brakes Shimano Saint Cranks Shimano Saint Pedals RaceFace Atlas Handlebars The Bike was raced 3 years ago, however all the suspension has been changed since then and only used over the summer and not raced. Last suspension servicing was in June '15 by TF Tuned. This bike has been well maintained and looked after since purchase. All components have been changed or upgraded over the last year and hence runs very smoothly. Grab a bargain at 1990CHF for all of this kit!!! Retail for the bike alone is: 5500CHF without the WC forks & CCDB shock... and all the other stuff! Please feel free contact me for more photos or any other information. I am based in Basel, Switzerland however will consider postage to other countries. Buyer pays for cost. Thanks for looking!

Pinkbike Poll: What is a Fair Price for a Mountain Bike?
Seeing the examples above, how are companies like YT & Canyon doing outside of Europe? (I seem to remember that the US has only just got a distributor). Their top level bikes cap out at 4500e which I feel is an incredible deal... although I also understand the risk of buying when you can;t get to a shop and sit over one! I may be biased here as my Capra CF Pro Race will be delivered any day. :)
