Over the years I have run the FR Zee with 40 tooth expanders and a Sunrace 11-40 cassette, on a couple of full suspension frames. No links necessary. Need to make sure chain length And b-tension are spot on, but works pretty flawlessly. It’s usually just enough range for me; and worth the compromise given how far out of harms way your drivetrain is, especially with a 29” wheel. It also has the benefit of being a super cheap setup. @vinay:

To make a long story short... This was a 2013 Fox 34/150mm/29/51 offset/15x100mm non-boost, that had an upgraded 3 position CTD damper installed in 2014or 2014. I bought it used, de-stickered it and rode it for two or so seasons with a custom spacer to lower the travel to 130mm. I also made a little modification to the air cap to accept ghetto tokens/volume spacers. Last fall I had this creak that I could not for the life of me track down. When I finally apart the spring I found one of the coils of the negative spring had gotten tangled up on the air shaft and was the culprit. The air spring is in the trash, but the stanchions are quite clean with a minor minor blemish or two. The inside of the air shaft side was not damaged, appears scratch free and was holding air with no issues. The damper is functional but is due for at least an oil change and bleed. 8 1/4” of tapered steerer. Some rub on the crown, a scratch or two on the lowers but over all in good condition. Uppers were quiet and creak free when I last hung it up. Rebuild it, use it for parts (lots of steerer tube), or what ever else strikes your fancy. Make an offer. Will ship anywhere. Thanks

2013 Santa Cruz Aluminium Blur LT 2.3. Last run of Blur LT's, with tapered head tube and 142 rear end . This one has the following modifications: Cane Creek -1.5 degree angleset (-1 degree cup also included) Offset bushings in rear shock Drilled for stealth dropper post ( drilled over a year ago with no issues thus far) Shock is an older Fox DHX 3.0 Air - you can adjust the rebound and you can add or remove air from the piggy back to increase/decrease how progressive the spring is. Frame has been ridden aggressively, and I wish - for the sake of my aging body - I could say has never been crashed. Paint chips at lower linkage and all over the rear triangle. One dent on non-drive side chain stay. There are scratches a plenty but I have tried to hide the worst by knocking back the original paint to something less glossy. Bearings are original, but well maintained and have been rarely ridden in wet/mud. Last time I had the rear end separated - less than 50 miles ago - They felt smooth and relatively grit free. Shock could use a seal and Float fluid change, but otherwise simple and dependable. I have played around with all kinds of setups on this frame and have found the best balance of handling with -1.5 Angleset, offset bushings and a 140mm fork of modest AC length. Was slack, but still a decent climber with an unsagged bb height (with 2.5 Minnion DHF's) close to 13 and 5/8". I will ship anywhere. I also have an X-Fusion Slant RL2 with 8.25" of steerer tube and a 15mm axle. Frame and fork: $675. Reliable 34mm fork with easily internally adjusted travel. Includes rear axle and a Banshee seat post clamp.
