Rimpact Launches Updated Original & Pro Inserts
I've found Exo+ with an insert to be the sweet spot for me. Not running inserts just requires more air pressure and a resulting feeling of the tires bouncing off everything. But I also dread the day I get a puncture that wont seal up out on the trail

Rimpact Launches Updated Original & Pro Inserts
@JonnyTheWeasel: not totally sure what they mean either. Having installed and removed both CC and rimpact a dozen-ish times, installing rimpact is easier but removing it is insanely difficult, with my rims anyway (i9 Enduro S). I 1000% hope to never have to remove a tire with rimpact out on the trail. I carry extra tire plugs and even a small Stans bottle for insurance.

Review: The 2023 Yeti SB120 is a Comfortable Trail Cruiser
@OnTheRivet: good move. I’m over the wet noodle Fox 34. A stumpy with a 140 pike could possibly be the most well rounded trail bike out there.

Short or Long-Travel: Which Is The Best All-Round MTB?
There's enough variety in the PNW though that I'm not sure what you mean. Plenty of stuff where a 170 bike is a bit much

Short or Long-Travel: Which Is The Best All-Round MTB?
Whatever floats your boat man. Up until recently I had a 120 bike and a 170. One day realized I was trying to both push towards the middle with tires/etc — so I sold them (well, one of the two so far) and bought a switchblade with middle of the road (grip) tires. It will do pretty much whatever I personally want it to do and that’s pretty nice.
