I'm from the coast of northern BC, Life throws mother father curve balls sometimes. I get a job that keeps me from the trails and ridin. Fast forward 4years i get engaged and my girl wants to come out building trails. Since then my fiance and i have started a YouTube channel for trail building, " Trail Birds". She "Robyn " loves getting out and into the woods with me to find new lines, and maintain some of the previous trail ive built around town. Back in "21" we caught the rona and with the time off work we decided that it would be fitting to build a trail behind our house.
In 5 days and barely recovered from covid we made a fun trail called "Two Birdz" for the neighborhood and community. Yay!! Ive found my partner!! If I'm not working 8days a week I'd love to go build some trail, chopping, sawing, digging, and hammering, over and over again. Love ripping on a bike. In truly and honestly biking and building trails to ride on is my catharsis. Build it safe and ride it hard.

I figured it's about time to pull out the buckets and shovel. It's been nearly two years since I've stopped. And now I'm in a place physically and mentally where building trails does some good. And actually it's heaven to build here, mind you no cedar to cut. I'll miss that smell, that's it.

It's been a few years but I've started building again. Working weeks before a day or two off for years has kept me away from getting work done. Recently my Girlfriend and I did some hiking and biking boardwalks and she got the builders itch????, guess I've got me a keeper. Now it's time to share my love and knowledge for building sustainable biking trails.
