@drua: Not naive, just saying they sold themselves as a fair trade, equal pay, bike brand.
I am not saying all manufacturing is rainbows and unicorns, just that the intentional deception in my eyes is worse than being a 'dirt floor shop' and staying quiet.

I remember working in bike shops and the Giant reps would lean on how fair-trade their factories were and how they were following western-influenced standards for labour.
I literally bought Giant bikes exclusively because of the performance to $ value of the bike, with the 'peace of mind' that they were produced ethically..wow this one hits me.
Thinking of how much fun & entertainment I have had on all my Giant bikes, at the cost of someones well-being. What a great feeling. Guess i'll be dropping the spec of my next bike so I can buy something more local.
