Pinkbike Poll: Would You Rather Pedal or Shuttle?
i ride/push my bike to the top, i love it and it gets me in shape, however the few times ive been close to chairlifts i only use those and forget about the pedaling, going downhill/steep/technical is the fun for me, so i didnt answer the poll, if i had a shuttle close by i would probably use it a lot, but in lack of one i pedal a lot

Intro to Fatbikes: Don't Knock It 'til Ya Try One
wouldnt mind a fat bike but for now i have one do it all bike, and i can use it somewhat in winter also, have some trails which are made by people walking up the mountain in stead of skiing these trails become hardened and carries the weight just fine on narrow tires as well, its the funniest supernarrow singletrackexperience, for some conditions use spiked tires and it surprises me how much of the winter could actually be rideable on a normal bike as well, its a matter of motivation and the half-full glass

650B Think Tank
If buying a bike today i wouldnt mind a long travel 650B bike, however my problem with this is that I cant keep changing my bike and components every year, im on 26" wheels and 2x9 gears and have no problems with it, but i cant find a clutch derailleur for my 9speed and my bike and components will be worth shit in the secondhand market, and like it said in the article on 650B you cant get away with a budget wheel build you need highend to make it feel agile like the 26", i wear out some gear or component every season and just replacing stuff like that is enough for me, i just dont like all the expenses of constant changes..

To The Point: Understanding Bottom Brackets
I have a shimano pressfit bb on my AM bike, the tools for changing the bb were expensive and hard to come by, but i needed them because the problem is the sealing, eventually the bearings almost seize, you can regrease them up to a certain point but then it must be replaced, i`ve changed bb once a year. For comparison, on my hardtail which i have used both for trail riding and commuting the threaded slx bb is still as smooth now as when i installed it almost 5 years ago.
