Stephane's Randoms Part 2 - Sea Otter 2026
@jpb1227: see my reply to your other post. It is great. Definitely less stable than my Orbea Laufey at speed. But I always felt like I was getting pulled forward on that bike. Straight swap of parts to the Elevator and I felt I needed to be more over the front. I went from a a medium Orbea to a small Elevator but still gained 10mm in reach. Orbea=plow. Elevator=play

Stephane's Randoms Part 2 - Sea Otter 2026
@jpb1227: although it has short chainstays, the seat tube is welded to the downtube for a relatively slack actual seat angle. I ended up running a 40mm stem instead of a 31mm stem. I am running my seat a little more rearward to get into a comfortable position. This is the first 29er I can manual and do all the side hits. I would say my only actual thought on change is the higher BB makes it ride on top of instead of inside the bike. If you are looking for fun, buy it. I also put some PRs on some trails I have ridden many many times. It just wants to play. Bikes are toys, this embodies that idea.

Stephane's Randoms Part 2 - Sea Otter 2026
I recently built a Fairdale Elevator. It is hilariously fun. I am loving how it turns the trail into a playground. The build quality on the frame is really really good too. I was very surprised given the price. I came from an Orbea Laufey and the difference in ride quality is stark. It is much more compliant and lively. Steel is real! I see so little information on these I felt inclined to speak up!

Spank did this! I was given a pair of grape scented grips many years ago. They were comfy but made my hands smell.

You Should Hire Brett Tippie - An Open Letter to Bike Brands
I know it has been said but I will echo it. Hire Andrew Major. His writing is great and imagine the tech videos he could do. Pinkbike would win the Dad crowd. Remember, they are the ones with disposable income.

Reece Wallace Drops A Second Insane Video From His Freeride House
As a homeowner I figured he did the flip on his first try with clean tires to keep the floor clean. It calmed my soul when I saw him vacuuming it up.
