Pinkbike Primer - Everything You Need to Know Ahead of the Paris Olympics MTB XC
@justanotherusername: If it is representing the sport to those not involved, I think it looks boring as fuck.

Rónán Dunne Presented with Red Bull Helmet at Hardline
100%. It is being reported as if it's some sort of award, which is what Red Bull wants it to be seen as, when it's really just advertising like any other sponsor.

First Ride: Canyon Neuron:ONfly - a Lighter 140mm eMTB
No removable battery is a no from me. So for me it seems the only options are Fazua or TQ systems.

First Look: The Raaw Jibb V2 is More Versatile with 130mm or 141mm Travel
@DonEnrique: I didn't say people went for less travel because of weight. I said people looking for less travel expect lower weights. Given the PB comments on every bike this is evidently the case. I also went on to say that I disagreed that weight was an issue. It is not. The frame is part of the sprung mass, as is the rider, so frame weight is almost irrelevant.

First Look: The Raaw Jibb V2 is More Versatile with 130mm or 141mm Travel
@a-prince: But people who buy trail bikes generally DO care about weight. People who care about calories do not go to McDonalds (and conversely, people who go do McDonalds do not care about calories, at least on those occasions). So your analogy does not work. But fwiw I don't care much about weight and would buy this bike, if I needed a bike. Weight is a massively overstated factor IMO and since the sprung mass includes our fat assess I don't think that a few lbs matters much. You could get the same weight saving from losing some belly than you would from buying a lighter frame. It would have precisely the same effect on pedalling efficiency.

@a-prince: Is it? Can you explain this analogy? Because I don't think it works.

Video: Do Lightweight eMTBs Enhance the Traditional Experience?
@weeksy59: The cheaper alloy ones are over 20kg without pedals. Haven't seen any for £3000 either, they're all £3995 or similar.

If I can't put it on my car roof I'm not interested, which is why I'm interested in a lightweight eeb, but not at their current prices, most of which are more than my motorcycle cost. It's ridiculous.

First Ride: Merida eOne-Sixty - Low Weight or Long Range
@psullivan65: If that's your definition then that's all bikes then, not just ebikes. In which case why is OP on this website using his digital device which uses multiple rare metals etc and is far more disposable than a bike?
