Apr 3, 2025FOX 450 x 2.80 Spring
$40 CADFOX rear shock coil spring.
450 Lb/in x 2.80 Stroke.
This is a brand new unridden unit. Was originally on new Yeti SB160, 2024 model.
Unit is too stiff for me and the bike. Guess I need to eat and drink more.
Price is firm. Can ship Canada Post for around $10.00 or less. Local pick-up, North Vancouver is free of course.
Could deliver to lower mainland if we can coordinate. That too would be free.

Mar 24, 2025Fox Fork 29 32- 20 mm FIT
$150 CADFox 32 Fork. 120 mm travel, FIT Damper.
Recent service (oil change) with new upgraded seals. No leaks and it works great. Held air all winter.
One minor scratch on a stanchion, bit no leaks or air loss. It hasn't been an issue. I only discovered it when taking pics.
Steerer is cut at 7 inches, tapered headset required.
15 mm axle in good shape, 100 mm spacing. CSU appears solid.
Can deliver locally or do pick-up. Shipping further out is possible. Can be negotiated.

Purchased a Fair-Bikes post adapter to move the seat back, effectively a less steep seat tube. Adapters are bi-directional, forward or back. Easy to install and pretty robust.
Intent was to make the SB 160 feel better pedalling and the end result is GREAT. Not cheap, but way less than dumping the bike for something my knees can live with.
Marco G. is THE man and being a former N. Van resident, knows bikes.

A Mountain Biker's Guide to Cyclocross
@dr-airtime:
My take is that Cross is ALL ABOUT competition. Not everyone is into the competitive aspect, but everyone in Cross usually is.
There is always someone to chase and there is always someone chasing you.
Try it and don't blame us when you get hooked.

Opinion: You Should Be Fixing Your Own Bike
Space ... the final frontier.
The story as I saw it. Probably around 15 years ago a guy, James, quit working in a big shop and struck out on his own doing suspension component work. He worked from his basement, in a laundry room about 7 ft square. Tools and parts neatly arranged above the dryer and washer. That lasted a while and he moved to the garage, then to local shop space and now is one of the largest Wet Coast suspension specialty shops. And he started it in the laundry room.
Apologies James, THE Largest Wet Coast shop.
