Trail bikes are fun but Downhill bikes are... better? Maybe! At least during Bike Park season.

Enjoy a couple of classic in the Whistler Bike Park. Always fun to ride these laps, especially on a new bike.

I appreciate the amount of content Remy has been putting out and he does a great job with it. I do wish to see more non-gopro content. I understand it's a lot easier to bust out a lot more content in the gopro format but remember his early edits? those are why he got famous. Let's see more of that!

He's sponsored by GoPro now isn't he?

@whitebirdfeathers: I am not saying ax the gopro stuff. Just would love to see more than his arms and hands. You lose so much perspective in pure gopro edits. Hell, I don't care if his buddy holds the gopro to film if that satisfies the sponsor deal.

@adrennan: I completely agree. I loved his previous stuff where he was actually being filmed. GoPro edits are cool sometimes but it doesn't have the same appeal to me.

Thanks for the feedback! Don't worry there are still edits like before. I so far filmed 3 or 4 already and I have at least 2 more coming. The truth is that they are a tone of work and no longer as valuable as the weekly content I produce myself as it is what people seem to want the most (and what I enjoy doing the most). The amount if work required is simply crazy but worth it too. Hope you'll enjoy the shorter edits too. Cheers,

I just think it's two different art forms... Would be tough for me to choose one, but I have to say Remy does both extremely well, and sounds like we don't have to choose. POV def takes a more meditative state of mind to get into, whereas the proper edits can hit with full effect even if you're not all there initially, or not having your best day behind the keyboard

@remymetailler: like I said I think you do a great job with everything you put out. You can tell you put the work in. And maybe my original opinion speaks to how incredible your big production edits are.

 @remymetailler:

I love the GoPro edits, and I think more follow cams would probably partially satisfy @adrennan and others wishes. Close follow cams with 2 fast dudes are my favorite type of edit. Though there’s not many people fast enough to keep up….

@philipmcm: it definitely helps and nate hills does a great job with those as well.

@philipmcm: Follow cam with Remy would be soooo good, but could he find someone to keep up with him?

He rides faster than the framerate !!!!!

Is there a Hypersonic Boom for exceeding the framerate too ??

Man, that is fast.

Ha ha, I had to double check and make sure I had playback at normal speed.

I think the frame is ready for mass production now.

remy is insane....i love the POV footage. I think my favorite videos of his are with his guest riders where they can share insight into riding gnarly stuff. Also, I think Remy should bust out some winter ski videos and moto vlogs. Hell, I'd watch him shred on a scooter if he put a video out on it. I'd love to see some more international riding too once Canada lightens up on the border stuff. Some of my favorite vids were Remy over in Columbia and Europe etc.

I can't believe how fast Remy is on some of this stuff. Also some cool new lines like that kicker on the right out of ninja cougar or samurai pizza cat I can't remember which is which. Right before afternoon delight.

So fast on those thight trails it looks sped up. I know it's not, but holy cow! You're doing great Remy. I love watching you yt content. Huge inspiration.

thing is, pretty much no one here will ever set foot on a DH track, but plenty , who've ridden Whistler , can relate to these vids and appreciate how fucking rad Remy rides. I'm more content with watching him shred Whistler than race DH.
  • 4 0
How far off is that from race pace compared to UCI DH? I've ridden some of those trails, his speed is mind bending
  • 2 1
Quite a lot, Remy has entered UCI DH races but iirc has never qualified to race. Just goes to show how insanely fast those top boys are.
  • 5 0
@commental: True I did not qualify 6 years ago. It was one or 2 years after starting my career, with close to no international experience, and me only riding slow, tight tracks. Since I got smarter, better, more consistent. All these guys also progress, but don't base yourself just of some results from 2015.

The speed at the top of Rock City was next level

What a relief! Nobody held up a sign for the TV cameras, and Remi to crash into.

Okay, yes, the riding was good ... but did you catch that scene splice at 6:36 chef kiss>

my eyes don't move fast enough to follow those vids lol
