@BenPea: Should it really be that stiff at all?
Are coil shocks too flimsy?
I'd think marginal flex under sideloads would be better than an overly stiff shaft that will bind more instead.

@Ttimer: Probably because MTB is barely a drop in the ocean when it comes to injuries, except in places like Whistler.
MTB is a tiny tiny sport when compared to almost any other.
I just got back from Huckfest here in Norway, and this is the only year I've been there with nobody seriously injured.
A friend tried a double backflip and hit his head pretty bad, probably got concussed pretty hard, but otherwise ok.
I ate shit at Åre bikepark, so couldn't ride much at Huckfest, if I wasn't using a fullface, I wouldn't be very pretty, or worse.
Honestly think DH is one of the more dangerous sports, I barely know anyone that haven't broken at least some bones from it, not to mention all the concussions.

@megatryn: Nah, the walls are 90% of the strength, won't matter much for strength if the hole is 2 mm bigger.

@MrDuck: Not to mention compatibility with compressors.
Presta sucks, god awful thing to run on an mtb, I did have some old Mavic rims on my old Nukeproof that came with schrader stock, and I never had any issues with goo clogging them up.
Might just drill my rims for schrader now, so much easier to live with, especially seating difficult tires with a compressor.

I certainly don't, and I don't know anyone else that do either.
I was hooked on EWS, loved the highlights and features, followed it almost religiously, and I know many others who did.
Now, not so much.
