Beyond Pedal Kickback: What's Really Causing Drivetrain Feedback?
I modified the DT hub on my hardtail with anti kickback effect like the DEG DF. According to this analysis, I should notice improvement only under braking (there's no suspension to cause chain growth and cassette rotation) instead ir improved a lot also when not braking. Chain inertia (slap) is a bigger factor than cassette rotation IMO.

In both cases it may be necessary to change the position of the clamps on the handlebar. This can be an opportunity to solve fitment issues.
