Jul 6, 2017Industry Nine Rear Wheel
$340 USDIndustry Nine Rear wheel
First, the compatibility specs:
27.5" rim, 142x12mm axle, SRAM XD driver, 6" rotor
Specific build:
Hub:
Industry Nine Torch
142x12 (non-boost)
SRAM XD driver
6-bolt rotor mount
Rim:
WTB Asym i29, 27.5"
Brake rotor:
Shimano ice tech, 6"
Spokes:
DT Swiss Competition 2.0/1.8
Nipples:
Aluminum alloy
I chose J bend spokes as opposed to I9's aluminum straight pulls for two reasons:
1. I9's spokes are $8 each - have fun replacing broken $pokes
2. When you're on a road trip and you break a spoke, good luck finding a bike shop that carries I9 replacement spokes (you won't.) J-bend are common and easily replaceable.

do you have solidworks? I'll send you the design files if you have solidworks. something to note: I designed the loop such that it could be disassembled within a few hours and loaded onto a trailer for transportation (I took it to burning man.) This requirement made the design, fabrication, and assembly more complex than would be needed for a stationary ramp. If you don't intend on moving your loop, it's worth pursuing a much simpler design.

Taipei Cycle Show Day 2 Randoms - Seeing Double
Mmm I'd buy that adrenaline. Looks like a good bike to ride at night. It has reflectors and everything.
