For sale is my Evil Following MB 2018 Mountain Bike; 29" Wheels, 120mm Rear Travel, 140mm Front, 1x11 Gearing I built the bike up from scratch about 18 months ago, some parts (cranks, saddle, bars) I moved from my last bike. Reason for sale is that I have only ridden it 3 times this year, as I predominantly ride road these days. It has been meticulously maintained by me and everything works perfectly, bar the cranks which i'll go into below. Spec is as follows: Medium Following MB Frame in Drunken Olive colour, excellent condition bar one mark behind the chainring where the chain got stuck (picture 18, it is barely through the paint, certainly not structural in any fashion). The frame is pretty much spotless elsewhere bar one tiny line on the top tube and one tiny pinhole sized dot at the bottom of the headtube. Rockshox Super Deluxe 120mm Piggyback Rear Shock, excellent condition and working perfectly Rockshox Pike RCT3 Debonair Boost Forks set at 140mm, bought new with the frame (covered about 800 dry miles); one mark on the lowers from storage and a very small amount of paint has come off the very bottom of the lowers from taking the wheel off and on OneUp Dropper 170mm internally routed cable dropper, works perfectly, had a new cable last time I rode it Hope Race E4 Brakes, the lightweight levers with 4pot calipers, with 180mm black Hope floating rotors each end; a few small marks to the topcaps from putting the bike upside down, but generally very good condition and work perfectly Burgtec Trail Wide 760mm 35mm Bars (picture looks like they have a line going down them, this is just the UD weave, these have never been crashed) RaceFace Turbine R 40mm Length, 35mm Diameter Stem, unmarked condition RaceFace Half Nelson Grips; decent used condition WTB Silverado Saddle, excellent condition Hunt TrailWide 30mm Internal Diameter 29" Wheels in excellent unmarked condition, spin as freely as the day I bought them, completely true; if I can find the spare spokes i'll throw them in Maxxis Ardent 2.4" Front, Maxxis Ardent Race 2.4" Rear, both in great condition given low milage, set up tubeless (bike has been untouched for 3 months and they've retained nearly all of their PSI) X1 11 Speed Shifter, X01 10-42 Cassette (very light, XD Driver, as are the wheels), GX 11 Speed Mech; all works excellently, re-greased and crisp HT AE-01 Titanium Spindle Flat Pedals in excellent condition RaceFace Next Carbon Cranks with 34t Chainring; i've had these cranks for a few bikes now and unfortunately the crank arm is loose on the bolt. I've read about the problem online and about 18 months ago (just before I transfered them to this frame) I drilled a few holes throught the carbon and filled with resin to get a substantial grip on the axle. It worked perfectly for about a year, but they are a little loose now (the chainring is also non-boost, hence the slight bit of chainrub in picture 18). My recommendation, given the rest of the bike runs absolutely perfectly, would be to put a new crank on. I had been meaning to do this for the past 6 months prior to selling but i'm time poor - the price asked reflects this. That being said, i'd ride it whilst you found a replacement no issue, i'm 85kg and i'm not light on bikes and it has never caused me any concern. I think thats it; aside from the cranks this bike doesn't look or feel far from new (because it isn't, only 800 dry miles). I've taken it through natural trails in Wales, to trail centres in the South and it has performed fantastically. The piggyback shock, wide tyres and stout fork give good control. It is a light bike for something that looks and feels so robust (I chose the 1x11 for weight savings/aesthetics, I did not feel the need for a 50t in the South East); i'd wager in between 27-28lbs (Drunken Olive frame paint is much lighter than orange, c2.7kg without shock). Feel free to ask any questions, I'd hate to add up how much this all cost new (frame £2,700, fork £900, brakes with rotors £500, Seatpost £200, wheels + tyres £500, groupset £300, bars £120, stem £80, pedals £100, saddle £50, crank £0 as I will discount = £5.45k). I have been very honest with the condition of this bike and thorought within this advert. As noted above, I am time poor and do not have time for tyre kickers; what you read above is the bike you will find should you come to collect. The price we agree is the price that is agreed, there will be no haggling and payment will have to be made on collection.
