What Is an eCVT? The New E-bike Drivetrain That Could Replace Derailleurs And Gearboxes
Toyota, and others, have developed the CVT for decades. Driving a Prius with its CVT tranny isn't like driving a 5 speed or a dual clutch. It's efficient...and boring. I like that Mountain biking is full engagement. I am responsible for proper maintenance, setting up my suspension, riding within my limits and comfort zone, choosing proper gears for the terrain in front of me, choice of tires, etc... These are decisions I make and they help to create the total package that is 'mountain biking'...at least for me.
There will be someone that says "then you need to go back to hardtail suspension and fixed seat posts". No, just no. Some advancements add to the experience, others, not so much.

This made me suspicious of them and their motives. That made me suspicious of my suspicions because they were suspiciously devoid of verifiable fact. I am now caught in a loop of suspicions and can't get out...help...

A quick search and I found this about the Apple watch:
Encryption: Data is encrypted with your passcode, and even if synced to iCloud, it is end-to-end encrypted, meaning Apple cannot decrypt it.
Sharing Control: You explicitly choose which health data to share with apps, researchers, or family members.
No Marketing Use: Apple does not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Pinkbike Poll: What Would it Take For YOU to Ride the Hardline Tasmania Course?
Thinking about doing that shite highlights for me, just how great those athletes are. It's incomprehensible to the dabblers. I liken it to Alex Honnold on El Cap. I have been climbing for 40 years and have done much of that climb so I know in great detail what it took for him to do that without a rope. I squeezed my butt cheeks tightly and cringed constantly during that movie because I knew exactly what he was going through on the Free Blast slabs. (I took a giant fall there)
I suspect there are a very few people in the mountain biking world that can do what these guys and gals do. For those that can "bravo". For the rest of us...we will marvel at your mastery, shudder at your courage, wonder at your ability to hold it together, and HOPE that you all make it to the bottom safely.
