First Ride: Specialized Epic 9 - Unapologetically Race-Focused
@ratedgg13: Even the 8 can be for the racer bois, Blevins ran it the majority of the time over the WC anyway. I just replaced my WC with an 8 evo and it's lighter despite having a 130 34, trail shock, and a real trail wheelset, plus it has frame storage. Don't really get the value proposition here.

First Ride: Specialized Epic 9 - Unapologetically Race-Focused
Having just swapped my Epic WC for an Epic 8, can't say I really feel like I'm missing much here...no frame storage, a bit lighter perhaps. Interested to see what the weight would be for a non-ultralight build but I just don't see the upgrade value for this iteration.

2025 Pinkbike Awards: Product of the Year Winner
People are moaning about this but in reality from an engineering perspective these are insane. Most road or gravel wheels are nearly a pound heavier than this wheelset and these hold up to genuine XC riding and racing.
