Burning Question: What's Next for Mountain Bike Helmet Safety?
@Weens: snell, ece and sharp are other helmet ratings. Dot might very well be outdated

Want head protection? Look at F1 and other open wheel racing. For helmets to be safer they have to get bigger.

Interview: The Athertons - "If People Want Gee’s Fort William Race Bike, We Can Make it for Them"
@lance-h: saw Titomic in a press release today and after a few clicks found this. I stand corrected about AM manufacturing of tubes. Page 28. https://www.asminternational.org/documents/10192/26746001/20+-+Gulizia.pdf/b8edc449-2333-427d-a05b-84bd980eb1f4

Knolly Announces 2019 Line-up & Titanium Gravel Bike
How often do Knolly riders hit the extended down tube? This is one aspect of current bike design that really makes me cringe. I'd rather smash my chainring 1000 times out of 1000 then ding the downtube on a rock or log. If I had a frame that was at risk to hit the downtube I would probably stop trying to clean big logs and rocks for fear of frame damage. Is my fear unfounded?

TITOMIC is cold spray technology. The technology has been around for quite awhile. Typically that is not as accurate as DMLS and requires more post processing to get the surface finish acceptable. Most cold spray machines are used for repair and to make near-net shapes that are then machined. The bike shown on their website is tube-lugged also. It makes no sense to additively make tubes.

Actually they have been around for a bit 2016-ish was the Renishaw case study. https://www.renishaw.com/en/metal-additive-manufacturing-technology-used-for-customised-mountain-bikes--39741
