Putting a Cascade link on the Optic brings the rear travel up to 130mm, giving it a soft beginning stroke with plenty of ramp up. This makes it feel much more like a trail bike than an XC bike…probably bringing it closer to the feel of the Tallboy

People should also check out he crazy sea to sky 24 hour ride he did. Doing a huge climb and decent in each town on an MTB, riding in between each of them. Including Lord of the squirrels, North Shore Triple crown, not sure what he rode in Pemberton or Squamish. But it was all on Aspen tires.
