Pinkbike Poll: Mountain Biking - What Should it Cost?
This so much. When I was in high school my first job was at a bike shop and I was able to save up and get a top of the line Specialized XC bike with full XTR with my summer pay. Now this was 15 years ago, but kids in a bike shop really make hardly any more than that now and the dealer cost of a top end XC bike is 2 to 3 times more. When I go out riding around the front range of Colorado, you're far more likely to see someone in their late 40s to 50s riding than an actual teenager. I think the fact bikes are so over priced also really hurts the local shops too because it forces a lot of us who are on a budget but would like to support local business to go to online retailers. In my mind a top end mtn bike just shouldn't cost more than 6k and I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that there are 12000 mtn bikes in my local shop.

Opinion: Further Faster - Thoughts on the Coming E-Ride Revolution
HAHAHA. Sure. I could care less about e-bikes, but I bet if you saw one out on the trail you'd tuck your tail between your legs and then rant about it on pinkbike. Internet tough guys like you are the biggest p**sies.

Highland Mountain Bike Park Now Open
Lol. Obviously you've never ridden angelfire. For that matter, I'd rather ride trestle or keystone over highland. Still fun trails but no comparison. Haven't ridden mtn creek so I can't say but always heard highland was better.

Yeti SB75 - Review
^^^ This so much. I just started watching the bible of bikes tests too and they absolutely blow the other reviews I read away in objectivity. It's so nice to see a negative review every now and then because at least you know they're not just a mouth piece for the manufacturers. And the sb75 was reviewed very poorly by them. All the reviewers said it wasn't as good as the 66 or 95. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWMgTHHAglw

650B Think Tank
The thing that is never mentioned in these articles about 650B is that the bikes reviewed are all running 3000 carbon wheels. Your midrange $3000-4000 trail bikes are going to see a much bigger drop in performance relative to 26 because of added wheel weight. On the higher end where your wheels are super light, I'm sure that the disadvantages of 650b are much less noticeable. I'd love to see pinkbike or anyone else do a side by side comparison/review/testing of a midrange sb66 and sb75. Everything I've heard is that the sb75 doesn't ride as well. My local shop is one of the biggest yeti dealers in the US and they said they can't get anyone to buy one. In fact, I've been looking at getting a new bike to replace my 2012 RM Slayer 70 and haven't been able to find a 650b bike that rode as good when I demo or is reviewed that well. I have to believe that if there were any truth to them actually significantly shaving times, the mags, websites, and manufacturers would have edits up showing this because it would be awesome advertising to sell new bikes.

Interview - Jeff Lenosky
Vail had a World Cup DH in 94. I would disagree big time about the techniciality of East coast versus West coast trails. I recently moved to Colorado from the East coast and have been mtn biking for 18 years all over including racing DH. The trails out here are much rockier on average than the trails back East. I'm not saying there aren't technical trails back East but they're called the Rockies for a reason. Places like Windrock in TN, Snowshoe, Pisgah all have great tech, but just look at the Natl. Champs that were held in NC the past couple years. The West coast riders mopped the floor on the East coast guys on their home turf.
