BIONICON EVO 2016: 10 bikes – one price


Launching the EVO in 2015, Bionicon took the first step into a new era of their company history. For the first time, next using the unique BIONICON-system, a BIONICON is also available with standard suspension parts (NBS- Non-BIONICON-System). Already in 2015 the bike was able to impress test riders of magazines, winning several awards.
Besides the lately announced „don´t screw it up yourself“ campaign, which allows to fully customize your BIONICON ex-works directly from the factory, of course BIONICON will offer new standard specs for 2016.
We at BIONICON are one one of the few manufacturers, that did not want to join the price race, making the bikes more and more expensive. Instead, we not only did not increase the price, but we also managed to offer a better spec for a smaller budget.

For 2016 BIONICON offers 10 different models, each one for the same price of 2899€ incl. 19% VAT (2437€ excluding VAT for orders outside the European Union).






Parts

On the suspension side, the EVO comes with Rock Shox Pike RC and a Monarch Plus RC3 for all versions without the BIONICON-system.
If you want to benefit from the BIONICON-system, the bike will come with a stiffer and stronger X-Fusion Metric HLR and, if you want also with a X-Fusion Vector HLR Air (instead of the stock Magura TS-RC), both with high- and low-speed compression adjust, as well as bottom out control on the Vector. The unique 2x2 air cartridge from Bionicon is also a great feature to tune your spring curve without having to install tokens or volume spacers. For the rear shock you can choose between a custom tuned Magura TS-RC or the X-Fusion Vector HLR Air (adjustable high-/low-speed compression, rebound, bottom-out control).
The drivetrain is a complete SRAM GX groupset, either as a 1x11 or 2x11 variant. The 1x11 version comes with a GX-1400 crankset with replaceable spider, which enables the use of Bionicon´s aftermarket B-Labs Oval direct mount chainwheels.





The four 4-piston calipers of SRAM´s proven Guide R will certainly stop you with excellent modulation and power, even on the gnarliest trails where 200mm and 180mm discs will guarantee plenty of reserves when it comes to heat-management.
At Bionicon we´ve experienced, that nothing compares to a traditionally custom built wheelset: Triple crossed and German handbuilt wheelsets, featuring 32 spokes on DT Swiss 533d rims and DT Swiss 370 hubs will provide superior reliability and serviceability. Maxxis High Roller II complement the wheels with a 27x2.4 EXO casing.
Of course all complete bike builds include Kindshock´s top the line droppost LEV Integra with up to 150mm of travel and an Answer/Ergon cockpit with wide 780mm bars.


26“ shall not be forgotten

Even, though (naturally) we have access to the newest and latest parts for testing, we still enjoy riding our 26“ bikes. That´s why the EVO is also available as specific 26” versions for the same price. Those will feature the Bionicon Doubleagent fork with either 160mm or 180mm of travel – the choice is up to you. The 26” wheels come with a Schwalbe Magic Mary / Rock Razor combo.
