Two Vermont Builders Handed $35,000 Fine for Unauthorized State Forest Trails
I used to live in TN and VA, it was the same there, which made it a huge struggle to do anything trail related. I moved back West and have been happy ever after :)

Two Vermont Builders Handed $35,000 Fine for Unauthorized State Forest Trails
@slumgullion: Ah, but they got a permit, did environmental studies, paid the fees, leased the land, then they cut down the trees, installed the infrastructure, and then they charge lots of money to further enrich the rich, that's totally different ;)

Build illegally and you risk getting caught, penalties can be stiff. What grinds my arse is that motos and side by sides will rip across virgin terrain and wear in trails, yet they rarely get caught and their "tracks" become permanent trails. If public lands would more widely allow legal trial building, it would reduce illegal trail building. Also, never admit you built an unauthorized trail.

High Bars vs Low Bars: Which Setup Wins World Cup DH Races?
I think the idea is to use a standard set up as baseline, say how OEM bikes come from the shop, then how riders choose to modify that set up.

High Bars vs Low Bars: Which Setup Wins World Cup DH Races?
I just upsized from a large frame to an x large frame so that I could accommodate a Rulzman 15 mm top mount stem. I will pair the stem with a 50 mm riser bar. A tall front end just rides better and feels more comfortable, low front ends are fir aerodynamics.
