Specialized vs Santa Cruz vs Carbon Wasp - We Review Each Other's XC Bikes
@mikekazimer: Dang, I was excited to hear of other higher sweep options, ha. I'm a big fan of the 12 and even 16 degrees on my XC bike. Thanks

Specialized vs Santa Cruz vs Carbon Wasp - We Review Each Other's XC Bikes
Edit: is there something funky going on with the PNW bars on the Chisel? PNW only claims 10 degree backsweep

Ari Bikes Introduces Signal Peak 3.0 XC Bike
@warmerdamj: IMO, if it doesnt feel a bit loose at speed, it feels sluggish at slow speeds. My current "XC bike" has a 515 reach, with 420 chainstays that are adjustable to 440. Its a noticeable difference. If pedaling hard out of tight corners is on the race course, the short chainstays make a big difference in the good direction. In 440 mode, the bike is "fine" and a better all-rounder, but not as pointy. Granted, I am talking about a hardtail here, but I think its relevant as it has otherwise similar geo.

its an XC bike... short chain stays play a pretty big role in how a bike feels to pedal. Don't get me wrong, I'm a believer in long chain stays on trail and even more on enduro bikes, but with XC bikes its very much a different story. I agree with Henry on many things, but holy shit he has turned this place into a bunch of robots asking for longer chain stays.

OneUp Components Announces Running Change to Clip Pedals
@HeatedRotor: I'm not really tallking about Mavens, I've been riding bikes long enough to be burned by them a few times times and refused warranties for defective products (likely not defective, but design flaws). I'm not hating on really hating on oneup, which I thought was pretty clear, more just stating that releasing products is not an iterative thing, they should be properly tested and released with confidence in my opinion. You seem to disagree, which is fine. I'm very happy with my oneup droppers, they all are fantastic, and the bars seem to be second to none. I will just never understand the free loyalty people give to some of these brands.

OneUp Components Announces Running Change to Clip Pedals
@scott4238: all that said, I am excited about these pedals as they seem to solve the few things I dislike about standard shimano pedals, so if the issues are sorted with this part, I will 100% be a customer.

Weird comment section. I'm happy they are fixing mistakes, but this sort of screams of them saying "we are so awesome because we fix our mistakes on products that were released without proper testing!". Still... better than companies like sram who refuse to admit they have ever made a bad product, but yeah. Also odd to me that the way they released them, they were available to buy without a single review out there...

Review: Haro Greer Alloy LTD 2
I mean, yes, but lets be honest, this is for BMX riders to get into MTB, in which shorter might make more sense. This also could have been an opportunity for full 27.5 if you ask me.

Kate Courtney is Leaving Scott-SRAM MTB Racing After 6 Years
I think Nino, and Gunn-Rita are just exceptions to what is possible, junior men are the same often, but maybe a bit less weight on their backs than exceptional junior women.
