First hand must have been amazing. I was already on the edge of my sofa watching him come down. It was after the last split, when the camera briefly switched to Max Commencal rooting for Coulanges with both fists clenched. That was when the significance of his run really sunk in for me. Goosebumps even now as I think of it.

Nerding Out: The Fastest World Cup Race Bikes of 2023

Kind of. Since in DH it's more due to the rider to achieve a win, you'd need to index to the number of riders who would actually be capable of a win in the first place. Otherwise you skew the data in the opposite direction. Case in point: you sponsor the entire lower ranks of the field with your bike, but never achieve a single win. I agree, the absolute numbers are not totally accurate, but I suspect they're the best we can get.

To me the DH coverage is very close to Red Bull's in quality. Not much to complain about what would be a unique Discovery issue. Enduro, I haven't watched so far. But it's well known for at least 10 years now, that apt coverage for EWS is nigh impossible due to total stage length of each event, remoteness of locations, and all that in combination with very little ROI. It's a shame given how exciting enduro can be, but unless someone comes up with an idea for say cheap and easy to set up capturing tech, it's kind of a no brainer that the coverage is sub-par.

I hope they will make versions with different numbers of gears available. Currently I am on single speed, and would happy having three gears only in G3 :)
