@iamamodel: Made my day. Got a gorgeous movie in my head with a horde of roadies chasing someone on foot. Monty Python-esque gold, thx!

Video: Troy Brosnan's HUGE World Cup Crash After Hitting Another Rider's Bike
@maddcow: Last year two deaths on Hot Shots, and just a few weeks ago another one on the final jump of the Worldcup DH track. 18 year old boy died, when trying the final jump after hour with his dad.
Granted, there's usually some form of user error involved.
But since we're specifically talking about the motorway: it's a place, where any amateur can go as fast as 60 to 80kph. It's a blast to ride that fast, for sure. But it's very high risk imo, because of the combo of high speed and whoops and jumps that are not easy to do in some instances.
I dunno, of course I am not an expert. But from my perspective as a visitor there, imo Leogang always has this kinda feel to it, which tries to challenge the rider, instead of making the rider feel good about their riding (e.g. like Whistler).
The notable exception being the Flow Link at Leogang, a connection trail between the end of Hangman 1 and the start of the DH. I think that trail is especially well done and I wish they'd do more in that style. Makes you feel good riding it!

@daweil: I perceive Leogang differently. In my opinion, they're rather proud of their high-speed, high-consequence style in trail-building.
Back in the days their mission statement was: Sind die Trails zu hart, bist Du zu schwach. (Roughly: If the trails are too tough, it's you, who is too weak.)
The recent cases of deaths at the bikepark don't exactly change that picture.

@dameathammer: ok, I better get now at what you're aiming.
That's a mere course prep issue. Such corners are rare. Just stuff the off-track inside with crash pads and you're good to go.

@dameathammer: and now imagine any of these sections you mentioned. how exactly do you envisage them gaining an advantage, while coming to a complete halt?

Just reiterating won't be convincing, I'm afraid.

Review: Shimano XT 8220 Brakes - More Consistency, Same Value
In my experience, using Shimano Saints and for a few years now the Shigura setup for DH and Enduro riding, the wandering bite point issue was only an issue, as long as I mistreated my brake levers by a) pointing water hoses directly at brake levers and b) using brake cleaning fluid on them.
Once I stopped doing that, I had no more wandering bite point. My interpretation is that it helped in not drying out the seals at the brake lever piston aka maintaining smooth action.
Grill me all you want here in the comments, but I can happily say, that I hadnt had wandering bite point issues for at least 8 years now.
