Rumor Roundup: Things That May or May Not Be Happening In the Bike Industry
Shimano have almost vanished from mtb right now, it'll be one helliva comeback if they bring these back to market AND actually serve up best products too. SRAM have smashed the drivetrain market imo, motors is seeing Bosch struggle (for sales and OEM specification) but focus on finesse and quality to set themselves apart (which at least is true) but that's a 2 horse race now for sure.
The only Shimano kit worth buying atm is brakes (if you like their feel). My wife destroyed her Shimano drivetrain on the most average of trails with (sorry wife) modest talent/gnarly riding at best. SRAM resolve all the issues on that front.

You Might Be Doing It Wrong: 13 Common MTB Setup Mistakes to Avoid & How to Fix Them
I find myself in complete agreement with Mr Beer. I also spot loads of things IRL and sometimes fail to stop myself from 'helping'. The funny thing about helping people is it only really works when they ask for it but that's their problem.
Good post/article Matt. I hear you and know where you are coming from buddy....if you ever see me riding and have some advice I'll be only too happy to hear it

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Suffer From Arm Pump When Mountain Biking?
take up climbing, indoor or outdoor or bouldering it doesnt matter which. It'll do more for your grip power than any amount of weights will. then you wont be anywhere near max strength when riding and will just have an easier time of it.

POV: Dane & Jakob Jewett’s Top-to-Bottom Lap on Morzine Steeps
Jesus christ! Having ridden that hill and trails a few times over the years I cant overstate how effing insanely fast and talented these guys are. That Pleney dirt is like nothing else too but damn the speed on display there is beyond comprehension. And yeah, it's way steeper than it looks lol

Love to see that level of building and riding. Seeing the process Remy goes through is so valuable too. I dont wanna just see the sends, I want real world approach. I think it's vital for other riders to see this too and help show you dont just rock up and send it like some riders would have us believe
