WTB Develops New 750d Wheel Size
@half-man-half-scab: I gravel and MTB. For me gravel is a great way to get in lots of training miles, before work rides, and rides from my house during the week. It's more of a replacement for a road bike than an MTB. I really hate getting into my car to ride my bike, and the closet decent MTB is a ~30 min drive from my house. I have access to ~60+ miles of excellent fire roads from my neighborhood, however. I love road biking, but drivers are so garbage that I'll probably never do it again.

LAST CHANCE: Support Santa Cruz Trails & You Could Win a Santa Cruz 5010
@braap299: I remember a decade or so ago there was a plan for one in Mt. Hermon. It wasn't going to be anything huge, but similar to Cunningham or Truckee bike park. Saw it as squashed though.

LAST CHANCE: Support Santa Cruz Trails & You Could Win a Santa Cruz 5010
Honestly where does all the money to SCMTS go? I donated for a long time, and see almost no development of the trail systems for MTB. Emma has been unchanged for years. Flow is in a constant state of disrepair. New trails programs are boring multi use snoozers. Santa Cruz is touted as the Mecca of MTB in California, but 90% of what people are actually riding is illegal, because that's what's actually built, and what's actually fun.

This isn't SC. This is further north for sure. More ferns and less redwoods than SC. Plus the article says they drove north of SF.

Ask Pinkbike: Fear of Exposure, Bike Buying Dilemmas, Chamois Protocol, & Flat Pedal Suggestions
Chamois has gotta come off before driving home if its a long drive. Chamois butter, sweat and ass hair leads to all sorts of badness.

Imagine disliking this comment... So happy to see more inclusive content to empower more people to enjoy this sport.
The local trails around me are getting more diverse every weekend, and it's making riding much more fun.

North Carolina Trails Closed After Coyote Attacks on Mountain Bikers & Hikers
The funny thing is, coyote culling actually leads to MORE coyotes. The US had massive Coyote culling campaigns throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Female coyotes produce larger litters when there are less coyotes in the area. Based off of come auditory response where when they howl, if they don't hear a response, it has a physiological response.... Turns out shooting them exacerbates the problem.

Video: Ibis's New Aluminum Ripley is More Metal, More Slacker
@BrambleLee: The XTR has some sort of composite cage. Mine skipped of a rock and exploded. Something any of my previous SLX/GX mechs would have shrugged off. The rest of the system still shifts great, though.
