At What Point Does Mountain Biking Go From Inspiring to Unrelatable?
Question for the pod: Hey guys, I’m considering running a short-travel trail bike (around 125mm) alongside my enduro bike so that I can ride more, keep the elevation gain on my weekend rides around 1250-1500m and the need for an Avinox bike away ;) However, here in the UK we often have wet conditions, so I tend to run pretty sticky tyres year round just in case its wet out there, currently the radial Schwalbe options. I wouldn’t really want to move away from them because they’re so good in these conditions. But on a 125mm bike, I wonder if running such heavy, grippy tyres would somewhat defeat the purpose of having a short-travel bike in the first place. Most reviews of these bikes seem to use lighter, faster-rolling tyres, like a Dissector. Do you still see a valid use case for a short-travel bike with proper, grippy rubber? I was thinking of running Schwalbe Romy front and rear. Curious to hear what you think. Thanks!

Avinox Issues Statement on eBike Power, Speed, and Safety
@schwaaa31: You don't need to have it. I'm running Avinox currently and have it set to 750W peak. Still absolutely plenty of power.
