8,848m in the Dark: Dylan Boyes Everests Innerleithen’s DH Tracks
Fair play lad. I did 6 laps in a day once and that was more than enough! Great effort!

Very few. Not enough snow. Global warming has reduced days with snowfall in Scotland by 25% since 1970's. There was almost no skiing at all last year at the ski resorts. We've got a cold and snowy period now but nothing like the winters in North America (I just moved back from New Hampshire, that's a legit winter!)

Slack Randoms: Brendan Fairclough's No Brakes Challenge, Skijoring, MX Island Hopping & More
I really don't understand the appeal of Cyclocross. Riding a road bike in grass, sand, mud and snow while wearing full roadie outfit in the winter while it's snowing. It's like taking all the worst parts of cycling and combining them into one activity.

XCO Photo Epic: 2025 Leogang XC World Cup
Not a dumb question. I raced the EWS in Scotland and I remember wondering why all the pro's were removing their mud guards at the top of a particularly muddy stage. When I was flying through the air after going over the bars when my front wheel stopped turning due to the mud built up in my mudguard I realised why they took them off!

Interview: The Godfather of Enduro Speaks - Fred Glo on the State of the Sport
For me, the beauty of Enduro was it's accessibility. Regular riders on regular bikes could show up and challenge themselves against the clock and their friends in a fun and social environment. The EWS became less and less accessible over time in all respects (the bikes, the cost, the entry requirements and even the registration requirements which were designed with pro riders in mind who don't have a regular day job.) The difference between the first EWS I did in the Tweed Valley versus the last one were night and day. One was highly enjoyable and one was not at all. I've ridden 30+ Enduro races from 2014-2020 nd it was awesome. I stopped racing as it stopped being fun. I've now moved to the US where Enduro in the NE feels like the UK a decade ago and it's awesome. I did my first race in 4 years last month and it was a blast.

Specialized Quietly Releases UDH-Compatible Enduro
I'm still riding my 2021 Enduro and I'm racing it this weekend. It's the best bike I've ever ridden and I just can't find a reason to buy something else. For a bike that is so capable on the DH it climbs so well. I'm tempted to try a coil on it and upgrade to 180mm Zeb but see no reason to change the frame. Only replaced bearings once since new and it a had a beating and seen a lot of mud
