@e-loop: so you've got real world experience on a V10.8 with a 27.5 rear wheel? When I crunch the numbers, it looks like in the high setting with a mullet wheel, it would drop the BB to 346mm from 357mm which isn't actually THAT low...
Have you had any clearance issues?

Given that Trek has no warranty session frames available until November, I was in the market for a DH frame this spring... I would definitely have bought an XL V10, except the 29er rear wheel was a deal breaker. Would have had to get an new WA1 wheel and then buzz ass all season long? No thanks.
