Altitude C70/90

$5500 CAD
Good day fellow mountain bicyclist, Seeking a used, but well-maintained mountain bike? Love beige and purple? Well, you’ve come to the right place! First off, yes, it is an Instinct frame. But it is built up as an Altitude. It was purchased as an Instinct C90 in 2021 and I have ridden it as both models, but settled on the Altitude as it suited my riding better than the Instinct. I have both sets of suspension and the bike can be sold in either iteration (see details below). There’s quite a bit going on here so let’s get into it. The bike received a tailored Ride Wrap from new and I will provide a new matte, tailored kit (in the box) with the purchase of the bike. I am not interested in installing it for you. It’s a bonus for purchasing the bike. MSRP $140.00. I swapped out most of the OEM parts prior to riding it and several of them have found their way back on the bike for sale. A significant proportion of them are brand new, and the rest have been recently serviced. As the bike is built right now, I would call it an Altitude C80. Somewhere between the C70 and C90 models currently available. The spec is outlined below and I have called out relevant details on each part. Stem – Race Face Turbine R, 40mm (used) Handlebar – Race Face Next R Carbon (OEM, new) Grips – Ergon GE1 Evo (OEM, new) Headset – Cane Creek Hellbender 70 (serviced, purchased spring 2023) Brakes – XTR 4-Piston (OEM, new) Rotors – Shimano RT86, 180F/180R (OEM, new) Shifter – Shimano XTR 12s (used) Derailleur – Shimano XTR 12s (used, rebuilt prior to sale) Chain – Shimano XT M8100 (new) Cassette – Shimano XT M8100 10-51T (new) BB – Race Face BB92 30mm (new) Cranks – Race Face Turbine Cinch, 170mm (new) Chainring – Race Face Shimano 12s, 32T, Cinch (new) Wheels – Race Face AR 30 (OEM, new) Tires – DHF/DHR2 MaxxTerra EXO+ (OEM, new) Dropper Post/Remote – Fox Transfer 30.9, 175mm (used) / Race Face Turbine Remote (OEM, new) Saddle – WTB (OEM, new) Fork – Fox 36 GRIP2, Factory, 170mm (used, service history below, details below) Shock – Fox DHX2, Factory, 230x60, 425lb SLS Spring (used, service history below) Fork: I’ve serviced the lowers prior to sale (new oil only, seals were replaced in June 2023). The last time the air spring and the damper have were serviced was June 2023, by Suspension Werx. I will typically swap the oil out in the lowers once a month. Shock: The shock received a full service from Suspension Werx in the spring of 2023 (the same time as the fork). Frame: Mid-way through the season I dropped a chain and it chewed through a small flange on the inner, driveside seatstay. I have been riding the damaged seatstay for months and I feel it is totally fine, but I have a brand new one that I will provide along with the bike. I replaced all the pivot bearings in the spring of 2023 and there is plenty of life left in all of them. Instinct Conversion: One bike not enough for you? How about 2 for an extra $800.00? I have the original suspension from the Instinct as well as the upper shock mount that I can provide for an additional $800.00. This allows the bike to be swapped between an Altitude or an Instinct. Alternatively, I can sell it as an Instinct for the listing price. Instinct Fork: Fox 36 Factory, FIT4, 160mm (aftermarket air spring installed, originally a 150mm) Instinct Shock: Fox DPX2, Factory, 210x52.5 Sorry about the photos, I will be taking some better ones in the near future. That about sums it up. I know it’s a buyers’ market right now, but I think the asking price is reasonable for the spec and how new everything is. It is undoubtedly my favorite bike I have owned, and I remain on the fence about selling it. It does everything so, so well. I would be happy to elaborate on any details, just let me know!

Specialized Releases Levo SL HT - An eMTB Hardtail for Kids
@mikekazimer This is interesting. It came to myattention last year that it is not legal to ride an E-Bike in BC if you are under the age of 16 (see link below). At the time I had reached out to a few different individuals around the industry and to most of them, it was the first they had heard. I can find a reasonable amount of information online stating this is the case (including shops that rent E-bikes), but it’s application around the province seems patchwork. How are brands able to circumvent this? I can't imagine they are ok with accepting the liability, or is it ok to sell them... just not purchase and ride them? Are you able to provide any insight on this?,or%208%20motorcycle%20learner's%20licence
