Video: Marin Builds Duncan Shaw a Custom Trials Bike
Sweet ride Duncan. Congrats! Nothing better than a custom setup tailored to you. I had my first custom trials rig made in '92, short and high, long and steep. What a joy. Though, they're weren't a whole lot of us back then, and really no manufacturers, thus the custom. Nice to see more people riding trials. Looking forward to seeing you ride it.

Pinkbike Poll: What Was the Greatest Advancement In Mountain Bike Technology?
For THE improvement, it has to be disc brakes. I'm 55 now and have been riding since the mid-70s. If you can't effectively stop your machine/control your speed, all else is moot.

Letter from the Editor: Pinkbike’s Next Chapter with Outside
That does not sound promising. On the other hand, it's nice to see that pic of Rob 'Biff/Slick' Stevens again. A good friend and one of the founders of the 'SteepCreeps'. In fact, that spot at North Glenmore was a 'chute tuck' mecca for the adrenaline junkies since the mid-80s and birthed the name SteepCreeps. When it's steep you gotta creep.

Video: Duncan Shaw Rides Natural Trials on River Side Rocks
That was excellent Duncan! Long time trials rider here, both mods and 26, now that I'm in my 50s I'm on a moto. It's good to be a well rounded rider, and always nice to see natural lines! Love all the vids, thanks to Rory too, looking forward to the next one. :-) And nice on you to honor the plunge.

Ingrid Doerr: A Tribute
I first met Ingrid in 1992. Was looking for trials pads so I could retire my backcatcher's knee/shin pads. At that time, her shop was just off Granville Island. This was before there was a regular product lineup other than frame pads. It was the glory days of custom order, you'd just go down there and tell her exactly what you wanted. 5 days later it would be waiting for you. The knee/shin pads are long dead, but I still have a stem nard guard from those days. It didn't even have a logo on it. I don't think she had a logo at that time. RIP Ingrid. Thanks for everything.

ODI AG1 Lock-On Grips - Review
They look good! "All day comfort" is over-rated, you're not gonna be comfortable when you're in traction 'cause your hand slipped. Besides, isn't that why bikes have suspension?? Thin is the only way.

Yo, pm'd you about your RaceFace armor. Not too long before I'll be heading down to Van. Would like to meet on the 25th of June to have a look at the gear. If it's in good condition I'll buy on the spot. Then you can get another Landyachtz bro. ;-)

An Exclusive and In-Depth Look at Kona's 2014 Carbon Operator
Absolutely! I wanna see the blueprints and graphs, hear the logic, and see the development stages. Note to bike companies: bring out your geeks, don't keep them chained to the CAD station all day, some of us want the tech details. Great product video!
