Fox Racing Updates the Rampage Pro Carbon Helmet
@chillrider199: I have no reason to lie, I myself have a rampage pro with fluid inside technology. Fox had used the fluid tech in both downhill and mx helmets then I noticed after one season they went back to mips. Concerned that maybe there was an issue so I contacted fox and that is what they told me. Mips bought FI and determined it was not as safe a mips, I believe it was on a mtb site as a story, but I have never seen any report of actual test results.

Fox Racing Updates the Rampage Pro Carbon Helmet
According to Fox mips bought the fluid inside tech and then scrapped it, claiming it was not as safe as mips. At least this is what Fox told me when I contacted them about it. @Jdricks:

Review: Troy Lee Designs' New A3 Helmet
You’re right as long as it’s safe that’s all that matters. I never meant to sound like I was calling the helmet unsafe, far from it. Just saying from a consumer perspective it looks like other companies are trying to improve with new technology. Maybe it’s not any better and just a different way of doing the same thing.@SprSonik:

Review: Troy Lee Designs' New A3 Helmet
@troyleedesigns: not trying to be antagonistic but an honest question. If the co-molded design is patent pending and shows excellent lab/real world results, why wasn’t it used in the new D4?

Review: Troy Lee Designs' New A3 Helmet
Seeing other companies developing/using different tech to help reduce impact forces its a little disappointing to see TLD not doing something different outside of MIPS/EPS and EPP. Kali, Leatt, 6D, Fox, etc use different tech to help further reduce impact severity (do they work better or not I don't know, but at least they are trying), however I feel TLD just figures we will buy it because its TLD and not trying to develop more protective equipment. Yes and I know fox no longer offers the Fluid Inside tech since it was bought out by MIPS and then canned by MIPS. Not saying its a bad helmet but would be nice to see TLD explore some new tech to possible add in their helmets.

@pablo-b: I went demo as well, awesome bike, but also a fan of the supreme. Both are very nice bikes.
