YT Capra (L)

$980 GBP
Hi, I’m selling my YT Capra bike. It’s a 2020 model, size L. 170mm travel F+R, 29er. Bought and built up as second MTB to use for the summer but now surplus to requirements. All in good working order, the frame has some cosmetic marks - heel scuffs and the odd scratch but working perfectly, no cracks and bearings are sound without any wobble. Shock and fork recently (home) serviced, stanchions unmarked. Brakes bled and working well (these have only had a few days’ use). Setup tubeless with inserts. 2020 YT Capra Alu frame RS Deluxe shock + Yari 170mm fork SRAM guide R brakes SRAM SX drivetrain Spank bars Race Face Aefect stem DT Swiss front wheel, rear is a Nukeproof V2 Neutron, both straight Maxxis Minion DHF DD tyres F+R (4 days old) Crank Bros 170mm dropper + remote *I need to change the seat pictured as that needs to stay with my other bike, but will come with a basic seat. Priced keenly for quick sale as I need to recoup some space and recover some holiday cash

Video: Craig Evans Flows Yorkshire's Harshest Rocks in 'Hard Grit'
No idea but I’m definitely gonna reference that film whenever anyone talks about a good rider in Utah or whatever. “Yeah, but what’s (s)he ever done on grit?” Love the video.

Cotic Rocket XL bike (Invisiframed)

$1600 GBP
For Sale Cotic Rocket in size XL. I bought the frame as an upgrade and swapped parts over from another build. Hence the frame is newer than some other parts. The frame itself is in great condition and has been Invisiframed from new. Other parts (E.g. forks) have been used more and have scuff marks as you can see from the pictures. There is a tiny mark on the left fork stanchion but it really is barely visible and I don’t believe it affects performance. Aside from that, all marks are cosmetic. Forks and shock have been regularly serviced by me and J-Tech tuning. Forks had a full strip / damper service last year, and quick lowers services a few times a year to keep them nice. What this bike is: a totally capable all-mountain ripper that’s really fast and fun. It’s a local boutique brand and the great part spec is great. The frame is in great condition. What it isn’t: Box fresh. This should be obvious from the pictures but there are scuffs on most parts excluding the frame. The price reflects a degree of wear. Re: Sizing, I sized up and went for the XL (I’m 6’) as the standover is plenty and I prefer the longer reach. I believe this is the correct geometry here: https://geometrygeeks.bike/bike/cotic-rocket-2017/ Spec Cotic Rocket 275 frame 2017 model XL 150ml travel. Invisiframed from new and in great condition. Tested: Does a Lockout Actually Make Climbing Faster?
Is this very small difference an argument against remote lockouts? If a remote lever and cable adds 200g, then the added weight is slowing you down more than the benefit of less bob. As someone that forgets to turn lockouts off, I now feel much better about leaving my shock fully open, all the time. Which is a nice outcome. Thanks for doing these sorts of analyses, by the way. Too much of MTBing is based on hype, so some actual research is welcome.

Garmin Introduce Edge 130 Plus and Edge 1030 Plus Computers
@showmethemountains: VO2 is the oxygen being consumed. VO2 max is the maximum oxygen your body can consume, irrespective of whether you're anaerobic. You'll hit your anaerobic threshold well before your VO2 max (E.g. at 50-75% of VO2max). I can't say I'd heard of vVO2 max before either, but it makes sense.

Smoov. Liked this a lot. Barcelona is basically made for street / trials / BMX, isn't it? lol at "Young Scotsman" though.

Transition Covert (Medium) - £995

$995 GBP
Selling this as I’ve had a bit of a bike reshuffle. It’s a Medium, and a 2012 model which means 142x12 rear axle and a few geometry tweaks. 26”, but some people say you can fit 27.5” wheels in the frame if that interests you - I can’t vouch for that. Set up 1x10. I’ve really enjoyed this bike, proper little ripper at a very manageable weight. RS Pikes 150mm RCT3 Fox Float RP23 Kashima (battles the pink robots) coating Hope Pro II hubs with Stan’s Flow rims Conti Mountain King 2.4” tyres (I’ve been running tubeless) RS Reverb Easton Havoc bars (750mm IIRC) Easton Haven stem XT M785 brakes XT M770 cranks 32t Superstar narrow wide chainring e13 XCX (probably not needed TBH) Zee FR clutch rear mech SLX shifter It’s all in good condition, especially the forks and shocks which have been maintained frequently. The only minor issue is a small dent in the frame on the side of the top tube from the previous owner. It’s no big deal IMO. You can see it in the pictures. Oh, and I’ve scuffed the paint from the sides of the top tube from wearing knee pads. Happy to answer any other questions - just email etc. More pictures here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/49147610@N00/sets/72157650018813573/ I’m asking £995 Local pickup preferred (Sheffield).
