@mikedk: I've got the X2 and I've had the exact same experience as you. Many bikes in the past 25 years and this is the first bike that I feel fits perfectly ( large - I'm 5'11") and the climbing is bonkers. Never had it this good. And I've never used the pedal platform. The maestro design is phenomenally efficient and the steep seat tube is where it's at. In fact if I were shopping again a steep steep tube angle is absolutely the most important development in new bikes - I’d go as far as to ignore anything with less than 77° seat tube angle. Game changer.

Giant Reign

2011 Giant Reign. Stan's Flow Mk2 with hope hubs - 25mm internal dim. pretty pimp and so straight. 11-46 11 SPD SLX drivetrain and chain - new this year .. just added pictures of chain wear tool and rear derailleur. This is the opposite of a worn out drivetrain on a clapped out ride. 30 tooth Raceface NW ( good gearing with 26") XT and SLX brakes 8" front 7" rear - amazing control Budget but awesome dropper. Always works. Raceface bar and cranks - Atlas? Fox RP2? - Adjustable rebound and pedal platform lever - unnecessary as maestro requires no platform. Suntour Durolux - fancy cartridge damper for the vintage. Works well. I think it's an upgraded cartridge from Suspensionwerx High and low speed compression on fork cap rebound on the bottom. Air spring. About 31.5# Everything is dialed but leaking tubeless Butcher. The rear minion DHF EXO has a tube due to annoying slow leaks super capable and fun bike. Updated due to new gear lust. rear shock is the only original component... everything has been upgraded... yeah those pedals suck they're only there to complete the bike. Absolutely complete and competent ride. I'm in Victoria BC and i'd prefer local buyer. I'll accept and prefer crypto!
