If cadence is going to constant, regardless of incline, why not go with a system like Rivians Also bike, which elimates much of the gears, and is probably more efficent with less power loss.
It's a lot more simple to wind a motor as a generator, then all of these gears.

it looks like it will be lower than chainring height
I wonder why they went with that layout instead of positioning the (Crank) axle lower in the housing. I think
