Pinkbike Poll: How Many Derailleurs Have You Actually Destroyed While Riding?
Only one for me, and the stick that did it also took out some rear spokes leading to a ruined rim too.....

Shimano Releases New Technium & Twinspark Sunglasses
@Takaya94:I got Lasik surgery over ten years ago now and it was life changing. Also, one of the scariest experiences of my life, but I'd do it again for sure (I'd just ask for extra valium!).

Review: How Canyon's KIS Could Change Mountain Biking, and Why It Probably Won't
Hopey! That's a blast from the past (I just checked and thier still in business!!! And wow thier website is shitty!). I've been skeptical of dampers on mountain bikes, but after absolutely transforming the rough terrain handling of my 250 dirtbike I would totally give one a try.

@moabenchilada: Soon Oral Surgeons won't be buying Wakeboard/Waterski boats. They'll have to switch to mountain biking.

Spotted: SRAM Prototype E-Bike Motor
@MRwillP: When brute power is more important than reliability, I guess. I've been looking for a decent FJ40 or first generation 4Runner for a while. A LOT of them have Chevy 350s in them now instead of the Toyota I-6 or I-4 motors they got from the factory.

Opinion: You Should Be Fixing Your Own Bike
@Sambikes11: It was this part from Rockshox lower leg service video: https://youtu.be/q71iSEEuiw0?t=137 The tech in this video was way rougher than I thought I was being. They make it look so easy! Just a couple quick taps!

Opinion: You Should Be Fixing Your Own Bike
First (and only) time I tried to do a routine service on my fork I watched multiple youtube tutorials and read several articles. One of the first instructions was to give a part a smack with a rubber mallet, one guy in a video used a short piece of a 2x4. I gave it a light tap, probably not hard enough to unseat it but I wanted to be careful.... broke it... Part of me thinks a Pro would have had the same problem, but then it would have been their problem and they have the tools, experience, and access to parts to fix it. I do most of my own service, but only jobs I know I can handle with the parts and tools I have on hand if something goes wrong.

Opinion: Which MTB Innovations Do We Actually Need?
@bohns1: Ten years ago when I was 26 and had time to ride 3hrs 2-3x per week I hated the idea of an eBike. Now... ten years older and I'm lucky if I can ride twice per month... I haven't bought one, but I get it.
