Kye A'Hern Injury Update: CT Scans Show No Fractured Vertebrae after Canadian Open DH Crash
@wikij: Call it what you like - luck, karma or fate are the best protection - but you still need to wear the shop-bought kind

Semi-Final Results from the Les Gets DH World Cup 2024
@edspratt: So much for your Megavalanche coverage - 2 weeks and waiting. Not only pathetic journalism but dishonest too. Hard not to conclude PB editors are lazy jerks who speak with forked tongue. Of course you do have to give priority resources to some exhibitionist jumping over the TdF. Re. your claim about Downhill's superior popularity vs the Mega - it's interesting to note the YouTube Les Gets highlights have 46K views while Kilian's 2024 GoPro footage over 400K alone. Seems like you missed a possible scandal story too, with winner Hugo Pigeon's mysterious absence from the results and reinstatement a week later. What's with that? Don't bother looking for PB to find out and bring the story. PS Also worth noting I undersold Mega popularity - Kilian's 2018 GoPro Mega run has 10 million views.

Semi-Final Results from the Les Gets DH World Cup 2024
@edspratt: I'm glad to hear it - looking forward to seeing your coverage. I imagine the 6.4 million views for GoPro footage of a single rider represents a slumbering giant. IMO if this unique event was given some half-decent professional exposure it could turn into a MTB version of the IOM TT or Bol d'Or. Thanks for your reply

Semi-Final Results from the Les Gets DH World Cup 2024
@pmhobson: Who knows? Laziness? Bloody-mindedness? Maybe somebody slept with somebody's boyfriend in Alpe d'Huez? Perhaps Kilian skipped out on buying a round of drinks? Could be anything.

Semi-Final Results from the Les Gets DH World Cup 2024
Yep, I made same comment earlier - you can find discussion in 'below threshold' thread below. PB editor Ed Spratt replied " . . . World Cup racing especially downhill gets significantly more views and attention than Mega coverage" - which makes no sense at all since there is no Mega coverage

@Saucycheese: If you look in a mirror, you'll see exactly the person you're complaining about. You should then ask this village idiot why he's so resentful at the prospect of watching a longer DH/enduro event than a standard DH event. Jeez - and this chunk of moldy cheese complains about one track minds . . .

@Saucycheese: Not really. Just wondering why a popular event is being ignored. Ed Spratt's response was as meaningful as gibberish if you took the trouble to read it. The Mega encompasses XC, Trail and Enduro disciplines which are far more popular than DH. I guess you're a consumer who prefers a platter of corporate junk food to something more natural with grass roots appeal. I'm not.

Yes! Any decent TV company with a few drones/operators, a couple of on-trail cameras, some GoPro feeds and Rob Warner commentating could make this a killer spectacle

@drakefan705: Is that who Pinkbike viewers are? Fanboys of celebrity Mtbers? Maybe you're right. As for myself I could care less if Bruni and Minaar participated. I doubt they'd be competitive anyway - it's an event for enduro riders. They'd be gassed on the first uphill section.
