I ride a gasgas ebike (yeah the ones taking over trails because their affordable) the thing is my bike is 250W 70NM and I never use turbo mode (it feels 100% unnatural) not sure what standard mode is but I go between standard and eco when I have the energy. I try to be extra cautious when I am on the trails, if I see a group of riders or sole person I slow down on my gap significantly and often I just wait for them to notice me at a far distance and make their own decision whether the feel like moving over (no offence is taken either way) the main idea being I have a motor and battery and they don’t….. no one’s going to care if I get a fast climb time with an ebike because it’s not 100% me. From what I have personally observed on the trails their is a significant group of people who don’t leave a gap and want to pass as soon as possible. Funnily enough the quickest / rudest someone’s ever passed me was on a DJI bike, they barely took a second to say thanks as the blitzed by me.

As an owner of an ebike I’m not going to lie…ebike racing looks pretty lame!

Yeah they’re great. Sucked with my old 5-10’s (but 5-10’s suck nowadays) with my new fox canvas they’re a-mazing!

I have a bike with 70NM 250W motor. I typically ride in ECO+ or Standard. Literally never used boost / turbo mode (not even sure what the setting is called on my bike) because it feels 100% unnatural to actual riding. ECO+ feels like i used to be when I was rested and standard feels like what I used to feel like when I rode/raced XC.

That’s a great quote to be honest. My only bike is an ebike to be honest, came off having a severe case of pneumonia last year that almost killed me. I will eventually get back to full analog.

It would be cheaper to buy a mini truck to shuttle!
