There are two sides to this story, sadly a soft global cycling market, with big discounts and over stock have impacted direct to consumer brands like Canyon. Which mean they would have had to look at all investments development, marketing, sponsorship etc. FMDs contract was up, Canyon looked at the return on investment and where the cycling marketing is going (e-bikes) and made a choice. Sad but reality. DH is becoming more niche and less exposed, with pay-wall viewing; and with more people choosing capable enduro bikes or e-bikes. Orbea have made a great bike, but has played it safe by making “two-bikes in one” with the same from being an enduro bike. I am pleased they found a sponsor that shares the direction and vision. But feel it’s a little harsh painting Canyon as a bad guy in this.

look likes they just painted the prototype...all those welds around the highest bolt on the linkage/seat tube/top tube. Considering the Mega looks...well mega this is a disaster
