I live in the PNW It's not like the northwest ruins bike reviews. It's more that 95% of bike reviews are done by riders in the PNW, and the entire perspective of the review is skewed towards similar terrain. The loam wolf has this same slanted perspective. Many prominent bike reviewers do. And it makes sense, a lot of riders are aspirational to be able to ride in places like the northwest at least some of the time. But not all of them are able to travel to the northwest, so not all reviews should be designed to answer the question "does this bike ride MY terrain better, and will all the people reading this review be riding MY terrain too?" There's a reason down country is such a popular bike category.... Even if I make fun of it for not actually being a new bike category. Go to Moab. Go to Arizona. Go to lake Tahoe, or Ely Nevada. Go to the northeast. Go to Idaho. Go ride some funky chunky trails in some other places.

You aren't category confused. 95% of bike reviewers live and ride in the PNW. This isnt pink bikes fault either.... The entire industry is biased towards where I live and ride.

@rivercitycycles: it's true, at the end of the day they have 2 wheels and in the past 5 years or so... Most of them are made pretty damn well. Man people that know how to hunt the used market are going to be able to get great bikes that were made from 2019 and newer. More choices is better for riders. Hey do you guys have any OTSO frames in 56 or 58 right now? Thinking about a gravel build for the winter haha
