First Look: Lauf Elja XC & Trail Bikes - Single Pivot Suspension & Clearance for 3" Tires
Lauf, why only electronic shifting? So disappointing. If you can make cable routing for the rear brake, why not for a mechanical derailleur? Such a beautiful bike, with so many things right: no headset cable routing, and a threaded bsa bb. I would have purchased this bike if not for the electronic shifting. It should also be offered as frame only.

First Ride: Santa Cruz Updates the Blur - More Travel, More Weight, More Fun?
It takes companies years to develop bikes. My prediction on the next iterations of xc bikes will be lower bottom brackets. The new Giant Anthem has a bb drop of 51mm, which is appropriate, especially given that many people are going to shorter cranks. Right now, bb drops are around 35mm~40mm. It'll increase to ~50mm the next round of xc iterations.

Review: Stinner Romero MT - A US-Made Steel Trail Bike That's Better With Mixed Wheels
Chris Curry's 3VO Suspension looks like it works beautifully, and produces an attractive bike. This is a very good-looking bike. The sloppy external routing across the chainstays is unfortunate. But the shorter travel version of this bike is a bike I'd consider buying if the cable-routing were neater. Chris is fighting cancer and still working on suspension designs.

First Look: BTCHN Bikes Releases US-Made 32" Alpina Hardtail
I am 5'-9.5" and very inflexible. I am curious about 32" but only for the front wheel. I don't see myself ever needing a full 32 bike. I do think it has an application, though, like in Cape Epic, Marathon races, but not technical xc. But for taller riders, it's a good option.
