Rocky Mountain Instinct 970msl 130mm 1x11 Carbon

$2500 USD
Fast and nimble 29er trail mountain bike that's tons of fun going up and down and on short afternoon sprints or all day epics. This bike has served me well for years and I am looking for someone to carry on the stoke and enjoy it for more years to come. I have put a lot of miles on this bike, and it has been well loved - showing normal wear and tear - but I have kept it in perfect running order and it performs like it just rolled out of the bike shop. Crisp tuned shifting from the Shimano XT 1x11 drivetrain with a small chain guide so you can get a little rowdy, smooth and efficient suspension that just got back from a regular full teardown rebuild from Butter Suspension in July, consistent and reliable Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes, and a Fox Transfer dropper post with Wolf Tooth ReMote dropper lever for a bulletproof and ultra-reliable upgrade from the original Rockshox Reverb. The frame also features an adjustable geometry and rear suspension rate that allows you to slacken the bike out for some bike park laps and then steepen it up a bit for a long all day epic, as well as tune the rear leverage curve to work better for lighter or heavier riders. From Rocky Mountain: "Designed to take cross country riding up a notch or three, Rocky Mountain's Instinct 970 MSL is an extremely nimble, playful ride. Built from Smoothwall carbon around Rocky's Ride-9 adjustable geometry, the Instinct is tunable to your riding style. With that adjustability, you find lines that make old trails new with the 130mm of Smoothlink rear suspension and a Fox 32 Float Fit4 fork." Components: -Stans ZTR Rapid front wheel, upgraded Stans Flow rear wheel -Maxxis Ardent 2.4x29in tires (tubeless with Stans stems and sealant) -Smoothwall Carbon XL frame (ISCG05 Tabs, internal cable routing, RIDE-9 Adjustable Geometry+Suspension Rate) -Fox 32 Float Fit4 fork -Upgraded Fox Float DPS custom valved Kashima rear shock with lockout -Ergon GE1 grips -Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes, 180mm Rotors -Shimano XT Shifters -Shimano XT Shadow Plus 11sp rear derailleur -Race Face Turbine Cinch 175mm crank -Added OneUp chain guide -Upgraded Fox Transfer dropper post and Wolf Tooth ReMote -WTB Volt saddle -Side load water bottle cage *Does not include pedals or the mud guard pictured Fork and shock received a full teardown and rebuild by Butter Suspension here in Washington in July and I can provide the invoice if requested. The bike is all tuned, cleaned, and ready to go. Just set the saddle height and suspension sag and it's ready to shred some trails. XL size designed for a rider from 5'-10" to 6'-3" (The blurred parts on the top tube are custom stickers that will be removed before sale) $2,500 OBO. Will meet at a public place during daylight hours only, mask required for sale, no exceptions. Will ship within North America, buyer pays all shipping and handling costs.

First Look: Shimano's New XTR is More Than Just 12-Speed
So for over $1,000 I can get a 12 speed drivetrain with a cassette that doesn't work on my wheelset, chainrings that don't work on my cranks, and a shifter that doesn't work with my brakes. I'll stick with XT thank you very much.

Will this race be re-playable on Red Bull TV after it is over? As much as I want to watch it live, I'm not stoked that it starts at 5am here...

Day One Bikes and Tech - Sea Otter 2017
Do you know what else fox head did? Started blasting terrible country music in the campsites at 11:30pm and left it on until past 1:30am, and they all ended up getting in a fist fight at around 1am, all while XC and Collegiate road racers had race start times as 7am the next day. I guess fox doesn't give a crap about their customers or their Brand's image
