The nimbleness of the bike comes from geometry and setup first - this is fixed. Weight is second and it's fairly flexible. Swap your tires, wheels and go from a coil to a small air shock + lighter fork and you can have a pretty decent weight difference.
Also something not mentioned in the article - the 130mm links already come with single row bearings, where the 152 and 170 have double row (10grams per bearing x4); the links are thinner and lighter, which more importantly changes the amount of flex in the rear end.
But let's measure weight and abuse in millimetres first ;)

Fox 40 Factory, 29er
$1800 CADSelling my Fox 40 factory, 29er, 2022.
Used on my enduro bike, approximately 10 times so far and I had fresh oil put in them 2 rides ago.
There is a little bit of scratching on the lower crown from my Northshore rack, but that’s all. Stantions are clean with no scratches.
The steerer tube is 190mm. Located in Kamloops. Pickup preferred.

Not far at all man. The bb insert that you see extracted from the cured frame, moulds the bonding faces. The diameter there is 40mm. After the ‘solid bottom section’ is trimmed and degreased, an aluminium threaded insert with external diameter of 39mm is bonded. To keep it aligned I used the moulded brass ICGS tabs on the frame and one of those BB mounted chain guide adapters (with clearance holes for the 3 m6 bolts).

@WAKIdesigns: The bike still has 440 reach.. I still haven’t found the special mould release that makes the moulds grow. But I haven’t grown either so it works out I guess

Don’t worry. I have something in mind for the pedals ;)
The reason I put saints is because I ran them on my previous bike and I wanted to see if my feet are gonna stay easier on the pedals or they are gonna be all over the place. It is just a test!
