First Ride: Pivot's New Trail 429
@makripper: I love it when people spout absolute drivel with authority. Ford hasn't owned Volvo for almost 8 years. Try using Google properly man. And by the way Volvo's new lineup is excellent. Since Geely bought them a complete overhaul of all models. Amassive improvement. Andd PS Tata bought Jaguar Land Rover 10 years ago.

2017 Pinkbike Awards - Component of the Year Nominees
@alewi11: I've had the premature wear on the teeth and just as irritating the dreaded and very loud creak that grease didn't fix. This problem was widely documented including a complete article here on pb. Did they forget?

Schwalbe's 2.6-inch Nobby Nic for 29ers - Review
I recently wasted $160 on a Hans dampf and magic Mary Evo snakeskin. Tires lasted a combined 3 rides and ripped in between the treads not even the sidewalls. I'm sure super gravity would be better but I think schwalbe needs a non super gravity casing that isn't tissue paper. The tires are hellishly expensive too.

Testing 27.5 vs 29 With Vanderham and Gauvin - Video
I had 3 years on a V1 Mach 6 size large Fox 36@160mm with Float X rear shock. Went to a SB5.5 with 160mm 36 and Float X shock. The Mach 6 helped me take my riding to a new level and clean more techy steep stuff. The SB5.5 has destroyed the Mach6 strava times up and down. I was getting 3-4 PRs a ride. Without really trying. The 29er felt comfortable instantly. Like the guys say you just carry more momentum. Bottom line for me at least. Same trails similar bikes in terms of set up and intended use 29er is faster.
