Throwback Thursday: 'Life Cycles' - The Greatest Mountain Bike Movie Ever Made?

People who say Life Cycles isn’t the greatest MTB film ever honestly miss what it actually is. It isn’t just a bike movie, t’s a full cinematic, musical, poetic experience built from the ground up. Much of the music was literally composed to the footage, so every cut, every movement, every moment hits with exact emotional timing you just don’t see anywhere else in MTB filmmaking. It took years to film across seasons. Some of the trails were built for the movie and the landscape itself is part of the story. The cinematography, aerial work, and slow motion were completely ahead of the curve, even by todays action sports films standards. I wish Derek and Ryan made another one...
