Mountain biking has kept me in reasonably good shape. Wish the bikes and the components weren't so expensive! Wish standards wouldn't change every year. Boost!!!???? And now Super Boost 157!!!??? Seriously???!!!

Santa Cruz Tallboy LT

$2750 USD
IF THIS AD IS UP, THE BIKE IS STILL FOR SALE. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. New parts, older frame. Santa Cruz Tallboy LT was the original long-travel 29er that doesn't suck. Mine still doesn't, as the frame, linkages, and paint are still in great shape. Santa Cruz grease gun puts an end to any signs of squeaking. Santa Cruz makes a great frame! Frame is in great shape, the parts are in excellent condition. Here is the part's list: Shock: DVO Topaz, way better than the stock Fox Kashima or the Cane Creek DB Inline Fork: DVO Diamond 29er fork, the best fork I have ever used Rear Derailleur: Shimano XT M8000 11-speed Cassette: Shimano XT M8000 11-speed, 11-46 Chain: Shimano XTR Shifter: Shimano XTR M9000 11-speed Crankset: Race Face Turbine Cinch, 30T Narrow-Wide Bottom Bracket: Race Face Cinch Handlebar: Race Face Next R 35 carbon Stem: Easton Haven 35, 50mm (exactly same as the Race Face Turbine R) Headset: Cane Creek Seatpost: Fox Transfer Performance with Wolftooth Remote Saddle: WTB Volt titanium rail (chromoly rail pictured) Brakes: Shimano XT M8000 with Ice Tech Rotors Wheels: Stan's Flow EX with Stan's hubs and front end caps for 20mm axle, 142x12 for the rear. Canfield Brothers Nimble 9 (Medium)

$600 USD
IF YOU SEE THE AD, THE FRAME IS STILL UP FOR SALE. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. Canfield Brothers Nimble 9 chromoly steel frame (medium) for sale. Included in the sale price are Cane Creek 40 headset installed, Canfield seat collar, MRP chain guide, and a set of Canfield stickers. Sparkly, shiny, and durable factory black paint with ED Black coating in the inside for rustproofing. Excellent condition. Could even be a collectable! It looks awesome hanging on my wall, red shoelace not withstanding. Regardless, it's been a great mountain bike and a cool thing to own. My Nimble 9 started life as a very nice commuter with leftover parts. With it's supple ride and snappy handling, I realized that this is more than just a commuter. So I upgraded the parts over time, and this bike became a shredder. The chainstays are adjustable from 412 to 429 mm, and the headtube angle measures at 66.7 degrees with a 140mm fork. Cable routing is all external, except for the dropper hole at the bottom of the seat tube. You can use an internal or external dropper. I used both types; works great either way. The Canfield Nimble 9 is a versatile and supple frame can serve as a foundation for a rowdy hardtail, a beginner's XC bike (I got it down to 25.5 pounds at one point with a 120mm Rockshox Reba fork), backpacking bike, single speed, or 27.5-plus bike. It's a ripper!
