Evil Bikes Announces Company Layoffs
"EVIL hasn't make any big updates to their line up" I don't understand the obsession so much of the MTB community has with "new" stuff. I think the significant performance gains of updating mountain bikes started to level out around 2020. Now, most innovation seems focused on shoving batteries into every possible bike component. Evil has a fleet of bikes that: - spans the range of short travel to long travel - has mullet and full 29" options - is UDH compatible - utilizes Superboost - offer a truly unique ride quality based on suspension kinematics Not really sure what's missing from the "modern bike equation" other than their frame's not having a 500mm reach on a size medium. Since this is pinkbike, I also understand that a STA of less than 90º will not suffice. That being said, I love riding Evils because the geo feels modern without going totally bananas.

[Update: Bella Naughton Joins KHS Racing] Racing Rumours: A Complete Timeline of 2024 Team Moves
@Diarmuidbikes: COVID lockdowns aren't the reason the bike industry is reeling right now. The entire industry made horrible choices through the downturn of COVID. A combo of aggressive investing, horrible forecasting, and very unrealistic ideas about continued growth are likely what got us where we are. So yes, it is linked to the spike in interest during COVID and the secular economic downturn isn't helping, but I can't really get away from the fact that it comes down to nothing more than greed from a handful of companies that got jealous because (for a brief moment) used bikes were just as valuable as new ones.

Airdrop Bikes Launches New Edit Enduro Bike
If you look at where the arrows stop on the graphic, A is the line between the center of the BB and the center of the HT, which is reach. The horizontal line above G (used to illustrate the angle of the ST) does make it look confusing.

Review: We Are One Arrival 170 - An Enduro Race Bike That Can Climb
"The headtube sits in what most would consider the slack range at 63.7-degrees while the seat tube rests at a reasonably steep 76.6. When slack head tubes and mega-steep seat angles meet, they can cramp the seated position and put a ton of weight into the handlebars." In the past few years, when geo numbers look like this from other brands, it's been described more negatively. We were pretty much at a point where when I saw a new bike's geo chart I would know what PB was going to say. Makes ya wonder why certain brands are seen more positively than others. On the other hand, it's nice to something get some love that doesn't have a 90º STA, 60º HTA, and a 1000mm reach.
