Rotor Refutes Claims of Business Trouble, Threatens Legal Action
@owl-X: maybe, maybe I should have written a decade, instead of a year :)

Rotor Refutes Claims of Business Trouble, Threatens Legal Action
Maybe, maybe, a president who changes stances, opinions and staff, doesn‘t respect laws combined with AI generated, algorithmic and unapologetically profit driven social media erodes public trust and truth? And maybe these values, which took centuries to establish, are the basis of US (and western) wealth, prosperity and freedom? Ten years ago I wouldn‘t have believed how much a single man (somewhat unopposed) can destroy the reputation and standing of the USA in the world in a little more than a year ;-)

First Ride: The 2026 Santa Cruz Tallboy Has Been Fully Reinvented, But Remains a Joy
@grizor: I absolutely agree. The only "FSR" bike I came across where changing these particular bearings isn´t TOO annoying is the RAAW Madonna. It is a) metal - so I am not too worried about destroying the bearing seats and b) there´s loads of material (and the frame is heavy, so not a good comparison to a light trail frame) If I understand the manual/tech docs for the Tallboy 6 right, then the main rocker and main pivot bearings are pressed into the carbon main frame triangle, similar to all 4bars I know of. The expanding collet axles are a nice touch. But regarding the bearings/carbon frames, all bearings exclusively in alloy rockers and none in carbon was a great advantage of the VPP.

Avinox Creates Restricted M2S Motor Variant to Gain UCI Race Approval
@frorider2: honestly, I was only partially thinking about ebikes (this headline is nuts, for sure though) Mostly I had US politics and their consequences for the world in mind… But you are right! The writings were on the wall already.

Avinox Creates Restricted M2S Motor Variant to Gain UCI Race Approval
I sometimes wonder how or if at all I could have convinced my "myself" from 2014 that a lot of articles and news from today weren't satire, if I could have read them back then somehow.

Ski Brand RMU Teases Enduro Bike With Dual-Chain Drive
I find that bike fascinating. And someone didn‘t weightweenie on that lower shock mount. That is a beefy piece of metal :)

Stephane's Randoms Round 1 - Sea Otter 2026
Panasonic was one of the first motor manufacturers to sell significant numbers of ebike motors/batteries. Around fifteen years ago I sold many FLYER ebikes in Germany. First to disabled/elderly people as a mobility aid, then gradually to everybody. There was no honest interest to take these trekking and city bikes unto dirt. The Panasonic stuff was durable.

Zerode Releases New Shadow Gearbox Trail & Enduro Bikes
I like it. Geo looks great on paper. Love the color choices and the fact that it looks "plain" or simple - while it clearly is not. Would love to try one and maybe own one!

The Ibis Oso eMTB Gets a Makeover - One Frame, Three Travel Options
@hans-heim: Congrats on a beautiful ebike! Altough I am not in the market for an ebike, the options seem sensible, it looks sleek and the geometry looks great with all these options. One thing I‘d LOVE to know - do these options come to the non-motorized OSO (I mean HD6) as well? I struggled with the super short head tube/stack on the HD6 and didn‘t buy one, because of that. A full 29 HD6 with a 120-130mm headtube in size XM should be my next bike ;-) I want a plush, long travel sled beside my Ripmo V2…
